You will not get  a {trainee driving instructor pink triangle badge} they are practicing on you.

If there is no badge displayed in windscreen of the driving instructor car then they are breaking the law.

show me how you would check the parking brake[hand brake] apply footbrake let handbrake off and apply handbrake so you can feel some tension.

Identify where windscreenw washer is and how you would check it. open bonnet point out where it is say I would top it up.

How would you check your engine. open bonnet point out where dip stick is tell then you would pull it out and wipe it then put back in and pull it out again check its between min/max marks you do not do this just tell then.

How would you check you engine coolant / brake fliud. open bonnet point which one you been asked and I would it between min/max marks.

Tell me how you check your tyre pressures and would get this information. in the hand book and use a reliable gauge and i would check all 5 tyres when cold and put valve caps.

How would you check your tyres are safe and road legal. there are no cuts bulges and there is atleast 1.6mm of tread and would a tread depth gauge.

Tell me how you would adjust your head restraint.I would press buttn in and adjust it so the head restraint centre lines with your ears.

Show me or tell me where horn is . point to the horn [ press if off road dsa car park only ]

Tell me how you would check the brakes are working. say when I press brake pedal it should be but firm not spongy and the car should not pull toone side when i brake.

Show me how windscreen washers work operate them as you have been showed.

Tell me how check your head / tail lights are working. turn them on as you have been showen say I would work round thecar check if lights are on.

Show me how you would demist the car. turn up  fan plus heat blower to windsreen press button for back window.

Show how you would put your fog lights on and when would you them.turn on fog lights as showen and say the orange light is on dashboard  I would use then when visability is less than 100meters.

Tell me how you would know if the ABS is working . say the light would come the dashboard. if asked how you know if there was a problem with ABS say the light would come on.

Show me how you would check your brake lights are working [ i will help you. get in car turn ignition on do not start car press brake pedal if how would you check it if you were on your own say you would use of refections [ shop window ect ]

Show how would turn your dipped head lights to main beam. ignition on do whot you have been showen.

Show how you would check indicators are working. put hazard lights on walk round car.

Show how you would check the power steering is working. try to turn wheel should be stiff and say when i start the car it should go light.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Test day you will need both photo and paper part of your. There are no pass rates at test if you drive safely you will pass your driving test. but if you slow some one down or do not get your car up to the speed limit if it is clear and safe to do so and do not do the maneuvers safely you might fail your test. Pupils say I just want to go for  a test to see what it feels like but you will just be wasting your money listen to your instructor !!! he will be the best person to tell you when you are ready for your driving test.  some pupils fail because they failed to LOOK round !! when doing maneuvers.
